Not only Animine was a silver sponsor and presented a scientific communication from Ghent University (Belgium), the company also organized a satellite Round Table.

The workshop gave the talk to three nutritionists on their experiences in Europe, Asia and Australia on how to reduce/eliminate pharmacological dosage of zinc oxide in piglet diets. Chaired by Daniel Brugger (Technical University of Munich, Germany), the round table discussion was enriched by testimonials from Megan Edwards (Integral Nutrition, Vietnam), Simon Tibble (Alternative Swine Nutrition, Spain) and Steffen Hansen (Animal Nutrition Consultant, Denmark). Apart from the assessment of biosecurity measures and farm management, conclusions were that there is no nutritional silver bullet and that HiZox®, a potentiated source of zinc oxide supplemented at low dosage, can be a tool in the toolbox of digestive security.
