On November 29th 2010, CIRCOVAC was granted a European marketing authorization for use in piglets. CIRCOVAC is now the first PCVD vaccine available worldwide for the vaccination of both sows and piglets; it is registered in Europe, Brazil, Mexico and Thailand.

Simultaneous (mixed) use of existing swine vaccines against porcine circovirus 2 (PCV2) and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M. hyo) from Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health in swine are as efficacious and safe as separate use of these vaccines.

The EU Commission has approved the simultaneous use of the pig vaccines Ingelvac CircoFLEX® and Ingelvac MycoFLEX® in the European Union. Boehringer Ingelheim will market this unique vaccine concept under the name FLEXcombo®.

Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health today announces that it has received marketing authorization from the European Commission on January 12, 2010 for a single-shot vaccination schedule of its PORCILIS® PCV vaccine against porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) infections.

Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health today announces the introduction in Europe of its PORCILIS PCV vaccine against porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) infection. The launch of this new subunit vaccine was celebrated this week with a dedicated scientific event near Lisbon (Portugal), attracting hundreds of veterinarians from all over Europe.

Dr Lars Erik Larsen from the Danish National Veterinary Institute in Copenhagen, Dr Nicolas Rose from the French Agency For Food Safety in Ploufragan and Dr Gerard Wellenberg from the Dutch Animal Health Service in Deventer are the winners of this year2E8s European Porcine-Circovirus Research Award.
