Vietnam reopens its market to Brazilian pork

Vietnamese technicians will visit Brazil to inspect its abattoirs, although the date is yet to be established.

The Minister of Agriculture, Stockbreeding and Supplies of Brazil, Mr. Blairo Maggi, went on an official task to seven Asian countries (China, South Korea, India, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and Malaysia) in which he has tried to negotiate the expansion and the opening of markets for the Brazilian agricultural industry. According to the Ministry, this mission could generate a bussiness of between US$1.5 and 2 billion.

In its visit to Vietnam, the Minister negotiated the reopening of this market to the Brazilian pork. Vietnamese technicians will visit Brazil to inspect its abattoirs although the date is yet to be established.
