Within the framework of an official mission to China, led by the Minister of Livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries (MGAP), together with the presidents of the National Meat Institute (INC) and the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIA), key agreements were signed to promote the access of new products to the Chinese market. Among the main advances was the approval of soybean and canola meal, products in high demand in China due to their protein content for animals, and of great importance for the Uruguayan agroindustrial sector.
In addition, ties were consolidated in other strategic areas for national agricultural development, such as scientific cooperation in bovine genetics, agricultural research, food safety, and forestry management, strengthening the country brand and the international projection of the sector through bilateral cooperation.

The approval of new products and the signing of these agreements reflect the Uruguayan government's commitment to opening new markets for the benefit of the national agribusiness sector.
