Quality beef, lamb and pork is being exported to the West Indies by English producers for the first time in 20 years.

The Taste of Britain event in Port of Spain on 19 January, sponsored by UK Trade and Investment, was attended by Eblex and Bpex to help domestic exporters liaise with Caribbean importers. Shipments of lamb have already gone to Barbados, with pork supplied to St Lucia. Demand in the region for quality red meat is split between the local population and the tourist trade.
