The Philippines opened its market to fresh pig skins for industrial use from Argentina. The National Service for Agrifood Health and Quality (SENASA) received communication from the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) of the Philippines informing it of the acceptance of the International Veterinary Certificate with the requirements to accompany the export of the aforementioned product from Argentina.

The Philippine National Veterinary Quarantine Service Department (NVQSD) conducted a technical review of the International Veterinary Certificate and approved it, enabling Argentina to export fresh pig skins for industrial use to the Southeast Asian country, thereby consolidating a new channel of access for domestic production in that market.
