Thailand’s Department of Livestock Development (DLD) and the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operatives (BAAC) have started a project to turn waste water and manure from swine farms to a worth at crop farms.

Under the project, which is part of DLD’s series in plan to promote environmental-friendly animal farms and food safety, waste derived from swine farming will be utilized as fertilizer in crop farms such as rice, corn, cassava, and sugarcane.
