The Code of Good Comercial Practices in Food Trading has been signed by the Professional Agricultural Associations ASAJA, COAG and UPA; Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España (Spanish Agri-Food Cooperatives), the Food and Beverages Industries Federation of Spain (FIAB) and the Spanish Association of Cash-and-Carry and Supermarket Distributors (ASEDAS).

The Code establishes the principles that must guide the commercial relationships and practices, and the joining to and unsubscribing from the Code.

The Code establishes some additional commitments whose aim is to guarantee the quality of the food products, reduce the food waste and strengthen the cooperation between the traders in the face of the market crisis.
