The Pig Interprofessional Association (Interporc), together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, will take to more than 80,000 Spanish pig farms the Rules on Good Biosecurity Practices on farms and during the transport of pigs.

This initiative belongs to the action plan cretaed by Interporc to promote the implementation of biosecurity measures on pig farms and during the transport of pigs, thus contributing to an improvement in the health status of the pig herd, which will translate into a better competitiveness of the sector and a lower risk with respect to the entry of diseases.

The distribution of the Rules will be strengthened with lectures and seminars in different Spanish towns to guarantee access to the information and promote as most as possible the observance of the biosecurity measures as a key investment that improves the profitability and competitiveness of the Spanish pig sector.
