Slight increase in European pork exports

The European pork exports between January and September 2018 have increased slightly.

During the first nine months of 2018, the European pork exports have increased slightly with respect to the same period in 2017 (+0.8%), reaching 2,894,726 exported tonnes.

The main destination, with 24.6% of the total share, is China, that has received 1,001,337 tonnes, followed by Japan (342,000 tonnes), South Korea (246,444 tonnes), The Philippines (217,163 tonnes) and Hong Kong (178,204 tonnes).

We must highlight the rise in exports to Vietnam that, with 58,883 tonnes, have grown by 66% with respect to the same period in 2017.

06-Dec-2018 v.slavov84Something wrong is happening with the pork market this winter. OK, there is slight increase in pork exports from Europe, but can somebody tell me what is going on with the price? Very very low!
07-Dec-2018 sales4Maybe because of the Africa swine fever, cause the pork price fall down.But people still need to eat pork right? Take ie easy, the pork is a big market.😀
