Russia: September 2011 grain exports may set a new record

According to the forecast, in September 2011 grain exports from the Russian Federation may reach another record level of 3.5-3.6 mln tonnes.

In July and August 2011 Russia exported 5.73 mln tonnes of grains, including flour in grain equivalent - 5.9 mln tonnes, stated the analytical report of the company Rusagrotrans.

Analysts of the company noted that in August 2011 Russia reached the historical record of grain export shipments - 3.21 mln tonnes.

According to the forecast, in September 2011 grain exports from the Russian Federation may reach another record level of 3.5-3.6 mln tonnes in the terms of increasing of grain shipments towards the ports of Ukraine and the Baltic countries and keeping of rather high rate of grain shipments in the small ports.

According to analysts of Rusagrotrans, the volume of tender deliveries from Russia in September will total over 1.08 mln tonnes against 595 thsd tonnes in August, in October 2011 - 790 thsd tonnes
