Russia notifies new outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease

Evgeny Nepoklonov, Chief of the Russian Phytosanitary Federal Service (Rosselkhoznadzor) has informed the OIE about two new outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease in Russia.

Evgeny Nepoklonov, Chief of the Russian Phytosanitary Federal Service (Rosselkhoznadzor) has informed the OIE about two new outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease in Russia.

The outbreaks are geographically limited to Duroy and Starotsuruhaitui (Priargunsky raion, Zabajkal'Skij Kray). Although there are susceptible pigs in these areas, the affected animals are bovines.
