The meeting between the EC experts in the field of ASF diagnostics, control and prevention with the FGBI “ARRIAH” experts and the Rosselkhoznadzor representatives was held in the subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal health” on the 7th of February 2014.
During the Talks the European experts suggested a plan of regionalization of the EU territory which is limited to isolation of 6 Lithuanian regions and several Polish provinces situated at the border with the Republic of Belarus. The European party gave a lot of information on the EU measures which are to be further analyzed.
A protocol drawn up on the results of the meeting suggests further communication and consultations as according to the OIE Code and the WTO SPS agreement regionalization in the exporter’s territory should be harmonized and based on mutually accepted conditions.
