Russia confirms two new outbreaks of African swine fever

The outbreaks are located in Maksatikhinsky raion (Tverskaya oblast) and Leninsky raion (Volgogradaskaya oblast).

According to information received by the OIE on 03/07/2012 from Dr Evgeny Nepoklonov, Deputy Head, Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, Ministry of Agriculture, Moscow, Russia, two new outbreaks of African Swine fever were registered in the Volgogradskaya and Tverskaya.

The first outbreak is located in Maksatikhinsky raion (Tverskaya oblast) with 1case whereas the second outbreak is located in Leninsky raion (Volgogradaskaya Oblast) with 7 susceptible animals and 4 cases.
