The amount of meat available on Brazil's domestic market remains stable, despite fluctuations. According to an update from Conab, pork production has grown in recent years, ensuring supply. Pork production is expected to reach a new record of 4.35 million tons in 2021. This would exceed the 4.25 million tons recorded in 2020.

As a result, the total domestic availability of meat (including poultry, pork, and beef) remained stable in 2020, compared to the previous year. This trend should continue in 2021, as a slight reduction in the total volume on offer, around 1%, is expected.

Domestic availability of pork remains above 15 kilos per inhabitant per year. This result is achieved even with the 34.7% in 2020, exceeding one million tons. For this year, the trend is for foreign sales to remain at high levels, with China as the main destination.
