Poland: data regarding the sampling relative to ASF

According to the data of the Polish Veterinary Service, between 31 March and 27 October, a total of 3,229 wild boar samples from the movement restriction and protection areas have been tested.

Regarding the areas under movement restriction, samples from 1,222 wild boars that had been shot down and from 102 wild boars that were found dead were tested, whilst in the protection areas, samples from 1,863 wild boars that had been shot down and 112 wild boars that were found dead were tested.

Up to date, a total of 19 outbreaks in wild boars with 53 affected animals have been recorded, all of them in the voivodeship of Podlaskie, near the border with Belarus.
