According to Asian Agribiz, the Philippine Department of Agriculture (DA) will form a technical working group (TWG) to review the proposal of the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) to increase its meat-inspection fees.

The Pork Producers Federation of the Philippines has opposed this proposal as additional rates for ante-mortem and post-mortem would also increase market prices of pork.
