Within the framework of the national pig health programme and according to the Classical Swine Fever-free country status awarded by the WOAH in May, and in order to establish the absence of virus activity in Paraguay that allows the re-certification of this status, the National Service for Agroalimentary Public Health, Safety and Quality (SENASICA) has established, through Decision no. 1412/2017, the carrying out of the serological sampling, that is expected to start on September 11th.

The reference activity will be official and it will include pig producers in all the country, whether familiar, medium or industrial, and their farms will be geolocated.

The number of samples expected is 5,400, and the sampled animals will be identified with individual identification devices.
