The Paraguayan meat exports have registered record figures during the first five months of this year. Meat, offal, and edible and non-edible animal by-products have reached a volume of 150,393 tons with a value of 570 million dollars, and this entails increases by 55% in weight and by 52% in value in comparison with last year.
In regard to the exportation of pig meat, the main destination was the Russian Federation, with a volume of 610 tons. When comparing years 2013 and 2012, we can see sales volume and value percentage increases by 336% and 252%, respectively, which are record figures that make the difference.
