ASF Germany: All-clear on suspected case in Potsdam

The Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut (Federal Research Institute for Animal Health) was able to rule out African swine fever through extensive, additional examinations of the wild boar carcass.

So far, the domestic pig herd in Germany remains ASF-free.

There are now a total of 463 confirmed ASF cases in wild boar in the state of Brandenburg:

  • Spree-Neisse district 28
  • Oder-Spree district 288
  • Märkisch-Oderland district 147

The total number of ASF cases in Brandenburg and Saxony (17 confirmed cases) now stands at 480.
