The number of piglets exported during the first trimester of this year reached 1,6 million animals. This means that 100.000 more piglets were exported than in the third trimester of last year.

In the first 9 months of 2010, a total of 4-8 million piglets were exported, which supposes, in comparison to the same period the year before, an increase of nearly 10%. The main destination is Germany, with almost half of the exportations, followed by Poland, with 15% of the quota.
