The General Director of Agrifood, Aquaculture and Fisheries Safety of the National Service for Agroalimentary Public Health, Safety and Quality (SENASICA), Hugo Fragoso Sánchez, issued Federal Inspection Type (TIF) accreditations to 14 premises in eight states of the Mexican Republic.

The newly issued accreditations bring the TIF infrastructure available in the country up to a total of 431 such premises, thus expanding its industrial capacity: 117 spaces dedicated to slaughtering, 191 to cutting and deboning, 125 chillers and 271 for the processing of meat from cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, poultry, horses, rabbits and ostriches (several activities hereby accounted for can be carried out in a single plant).

The accreditations have been delivered to two TIF premises in Campeche; two in Tabasco; three in Yucatán, and one in Chiapas, Mexico City, Durango, Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Quintana Roo and San Luis Potosi, respectively.
