According to the President of the Mexican Pig Producers' Confederation (CPM), Mr. José Luis Carám Inclán, pork consumption in Mexico has grown by almost 600 grammes in the last year, going from 16 to 16.6 kg.

Together with the Minister of Agriculture, Stockbreeding, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food, Mr. Enrique Martínez y Martínez, Mr. Carám Inclán highlighted that these results, based on promotion campaigns supported by the SAGARPA, have exceeded the expectations in the sector, and are the reflection of the integral and coordinated work between the federal authorities and pig producers.
