The head of SAGARPA, Enrique Martínez y Martínez, and the Deputy Governor of Henan Province, China, Zhao Jiancai, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing the creation of an air bridge between Guadalajara, Jalisco, and the province of Henan in order to export agri-food products of Mexican origin to that country.

In the presence of Mexican producers and agroindustrial businessmen, the Public office Holder added that these agro-logistics measures will facilitate the start of exports of beef, pork, melon, papaya, and other fruits.

He stressed that the health status achieved allows them to be present in the most demanding markets in the world, closing 2014 with about 26 billion dollars in agri-food exports, of which 80 percent went to the United States, Canada and Japan primarily.
