The Secretariat of Agriculture, Stockbreeding, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) and the National Association of Federal Inspection Type Establishments (ANETIF) signed an collaboration agreement for launching a promotion campaign of the TIF seal of quality.

With an investment by the SAGARPA of 60 million pesos, the establishments affiliated to the National Association of Hypermarkets and Supermarkets (ANTAD) will promote the consumption of meat products that have the TIF certificate.

The federal branch, through the Agency of Services for the Commercialization and Development of Agriculture and Livestock Markets (ASERCA), will encourage the consumption of livestock products, such as beef, pork, chicken, kid and cured sausages that have the seal.

The goal of this campaign is to divulge the benefits of consuming foods with this seal as, for instance, the good hygiene and health conditions with which they are produced.

The TIF seal provides the consumers with a food safety guarantee of the foods that they consume, as well as with the certainty that they meet the health requirements and the quality standards during their production.

This certification also facilitates the movements of the livestock products inside the national territory, and it is an incentive for exportation, because it supports the good health and safety conditions of these products in the international markets.
