Significant increase in Argentine oilseeds exports

The value of soybean and derivative shipments increased 55% during the first half of the year.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries reports that the value of oilseed exports increased 52.8% during the first half of the year, reaching a total of 13.1 billion dollars.

According to INDEC data in its report on exports, the sector's sales respond to a 55% growth in the value of soybean and derivatives shipments, which totaled 11.9 billion dollars; and 81.8% growth in the sunflower segment, which reached 689 million dollars.

External sales of corn totaled 3.744 billion dollars, an increase of 12.6% year-on-year, while those of barley totaled 622 million dollars, an increase of 46.7%.
