According to the data of the Agricultural Statistics Service of France (Agreste), the French exports to third countries and to the EU have kept falling. In the first nine months of 2015 the exports dropped by 8% in comparison with the same period in 2014 (35,000 tonnes less; -29,000 tonnes to the EU and -6,000 tonnes to third countries). The drop in exports to third countries (Southeast Asia [- 4,300 tonnes] and the complete stop of the shippings to Russia [- 4,300 tonnes] were not compensated by the increase in sales to North Asia [+ 5,800 tonnes]).

The domestic pork consumption has fallen during the first three trimesters (-2% in comparison with the same period in 2014, according to Kantar Worldpanel FranceAgriMer).
