According to Russian Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev: "The production of major crops exceeds the indicators envisaged in the state program. This fully meets the domestic needs and export opportunities of our country."
Grain production in Russia by the end of 2021 will exceed 123 million tons, of which about 76 million t will be wheat. By the end of the year, oilseed production is also expected to total 23 million t.
According to Rosstat, grain production in Russia in 2020 reached 133.5 million t, including 85.9 million t of wheat.
Earlier, Russia's Deputy Agriculture Minister Sergey Levin had reported that the export of Russian agricultural products in 2021 totals $32 billion, 20% more than in 2020.
