Vaccination and sero-epidemiological surveillance are on-going. There are currently 25 teams in the zone around the outbreak and in the surveillance zone and 13,333 blood samples have already been taken from cattle under 24 months old and from 556 sheep and 76 goats.
Vaccine matching tests: the expected percentage of protection was calculated using virus neutralization and adequate levels of protection in animals revaccinated with strain O1 Campos (revaccinated with O1 Campos, 94.67% and with O1 San Pedro, 86.54%) were obtained.
