Following the notification of an atypical mortality occurring mainly in piglets of 10 days old on average at a pig farm in Cotopaxi (San Buenaventura, Latacunga), the official service put into effect the health measures established in the contingency plan for porcine epidemic diarrhea.

On the farm there are 10,908 susceptible animals of which 1,341 cases.
