Exports of Danish pork in 2011 increased by 5% to 1.2 million tons. While exports to member states have remained virtually unchanged, significant increases in demand from Germany (+7%), Italy (+3%) and Sweden (+6%) stand out. Germany remains the main destination for Danish pork.

Exports to third party countries registered a 10% increase over the previous year. The drop in exports to Japan, Australia and the United States were offset by a significant increase in exports to China and South Korea.
