Denmark –Fewer but bigger herds

In 2009 the number of swine herds fell by 13%, from a total of 5,800 in 2008 to 5,000 in 2009.

In 2009 the number of swine herds fell by 13%, from a total of 5,800 in 2008 to 5,000 in 2009.

However, the number of animals per herd increased, from an average of 2,200 animals per herd in 2008 to 2,500 in 2009.
