Denmark – Swine census decrease

The latest data on the Danish swine census published by Statistics on January 1, 2011 show a 5% decrease in the swine herd, going from 12,873 million in January 2010 to 12,293 million in January 2011.

The decrease affects sows as well as piglets and fattening pigs.
