China's pork imports already exceed the 2019 total

As of June, Chinese pork imports already exceed the total for all of 2019.

This June, China imported a total of 400,000 tons of pork, which is equal to April's record level and more than double the figure seen in June 2019 (160,000 tonnes).

In the first half of the year, China has already imported a total of 2,120,000 t of pork, exceeding the total amount imported during all of 2019, when China imported a total of 2,002,679 t.

Pork imports including offal reached 540,000 t, bringing the total to 2,820,000 t so far this year.
