China registers grain production of 546.41 million tons and an increase for the seventh consecutive year of higher output in 2010

Statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics on 3 December 2010 show that China’s grain output this year increase by 2.9% to 546.41 million tons, making 2010 the seventh consecutive year of higher output.

Statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics on 3 December 2010 show that China’s grain output this year increase by 2.9% to 546.41 million tons, making 2010 the seventh consecutive year of higher output.

According to the announcement, of the total grain production, the summer grain output is 123.10 tons that is 0.39 million tons less than the previous year, and the early rice 31.32 million tons, 2.04 million tons less. Preliminary statistics show that the autumn grain is 391.99 million tons, an increase of 1.801 million tons from last year. Consecutive years of good harvest have contributed to stable consumer prices.
