China - COFCO boosts pig production in north China

China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Import and Export Corp (COFCO) is set to invest CNY 4 billion (USD 588 million) in Tianjin for a complex combining pig farms with a processing plant.

China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Import and Export Corp (COFCO) is set to invest CNY 4 billion (USD 588 million) in Tianjin for a complex combining pig farms with a processing plant.

Sited in Baodi district, the complex is expected to turn out 2 million live hogs and 150,000 tonnes of pork per year after completion in five year.
