Chile has begun implementing the eCert digital certification system, which will allow 100% of its meat exports, including pork, to the United States to be digitally certified. Based on the national ECZE platform, the system seeks to strengthen traceability, reduce errors, and eliminate the use of paper in logistics processes.

This initiative represents a milestone in the modernization of Chile's foreign trade and is in the testing phase until mid-June. Unlike previous experiences with other countries, with the U.S. the digital model will be applied from day one.

Promoted by the ChileCarne association, eCert covers poultry, pork, beef, and sheep meat shipments, and is part of a strategy to digitize 80% of the country's meat exports. The measure reinforces Chile's commitment to a more efficient, secure, and transparent export chain.
