Canada: Government creating a competitive advantage for Swine Exporters

Covernment announced an investment of over $1 million to the Canadian Swine Exporters Association to help boost international recognition of Canada's superior purebred swine genetics.

Thursday 19 June 2014 (3 years 11 months 1 days ago)

Dave MacKenzie, Member of Parliament for Oxford, on behalf of Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz, announced today an investment of over $1 million to the Canadian Swine Exporters Association (CSEA) to help boost international recognition of Canada's superior purebred swine genetics.

This investment will help CSEA members increase awareness of the value and quality of Canadian swine by participating in key international trade shows and leading targeted trade missions. It will also ensure that Canada remains a world leader in swine genetics, particularly in attributes that improve meat quality, feed efficiency, environmental issues, and biosecurity.
