In the first three months of 2009, the sales of the Bulgarian meat industry registered an increase of 15.5% at current prices, according to the latest report from SFB Capital Market JSC.

As this report states, imports of these products have fallen by 3.2% compared to the same period last year, although the prices have risen, in some cases by up to 14.4%. Exports, on the other hand, continued to fall in the same period of time, dropping by 7.8% for the interannual rate. It is worth pointing out the good performance in local sales of beef, pig meat and poultry.
