This week the arrival in China of a Brazilian mission headed by the Director of the Animal Product Inspection Department of the Department of Agriculture, Luiz Carlos Oliveira, is expected. The objective of the mission is to continue negotiations for the sale of Brazilian pork in China.

Currently, the Brazilian government is negotiating the approval of 26 swine slaughterhouses, 13 of which have been visited and inspected throughout last year by Chinese authorities. If negotiations progress it will be the first time that Brazil exports pork to China.
