The Brazilian economy started 2025 with a robust growth of 1.4% in the first quarter, compared to the previous quarter, according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). This performance was strongly driven by the agricultural sector, which registered a significant growth of 12.2% in the period, thanks to an excellent soybean harvest favored by ideal weather conditions.
The agricultural sector stood out as the main driver of the economy, with soybean production reaching record levels. This performance not only boosted Gross Domestic Product (GDP), but also strengthened exports, especially to markets such as China, which depends significantly on Brazilian soybeans.

The agricultural sector continues to be a fundamental pillar of the Brazilian economy, demonstrating resilience and the capacity to drive growth, even in an environment of restrictive monetary policies. The bumper soybean harvest and continued investments in this field reinforce the importance of agribusiness as a driver of the country's economic development.
