The Brazilian states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina are close to achieving the recognition of Classical Swine Fever (CSF) free areas by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE.)

The Scientific Committee organization approved last week the vast Brazilian report seeking recognition for the area.
 
The request will be voted on by member countries during the OIE World Assembly, to be held the last week of May in Paris.
