Brazil: Acre is free from Classical Swine Fever

The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture has included the state of Acre in the list of federate states free from Classical Swine Fever.

The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture has included the state of Acre in the list of federate states free from Classical Swine Fever.

This measure, which was announced by the governor of Acre last 27th July, will not be effective until its publication in the Official State Gazette (DOU).

As of the publication of the regulation, the state of Acre will be allowed to export pig meat without restrictions.

Up to now, 14 states are declared as free from Classical Swine Fever in Brazil: Bahía, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, Rondônia, Santa Catarina, Sao Paulo, Sergipe, and Tocantins.
