Brazil – The Ministry will initiate audits in the states interested in exporting pig meat to Europe

The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture has announced that it will make audits in the agriculture and livestock defense systems in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais.

The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture has announced that it will make audits in the agriculture and livestock defense systems in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais.

The European authorities are examining the possiblity of exporting meat from Santa Catarina. In October 2009, representatives of the Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) of the European Union visited the state of Santa Catarina to inspect the system of production, storage, deposits and ports.
