One of the challenges of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supplies (MAPA) for 2017 is the creation of the Animal Health National Plan, that will take the measures needed for evaluating the veterinary services and will intensify the health emergencies service.
It is foreseen that in 2017 the restructuring of the Veterinary Surveillance and Emergencies System of Brazil (SISBRAVet) will be carried out. This system will take care of preparing and organising the techniques assigned for the surveillance of animal diseases, from the prevention, the detection and the containment of the outbreaks. The implementation of the e-Sisbravet is also foreseen: it will include services for taking care of the animal diseases outbreaks, and the management of the health programmes and the emergencies.
