Just like last year, the swine industry will not have to pay a contribution this year to the Budget Fund for the health and quality of animals and animal products, also known as the Sanitary Fund.

The pig sector has long been regarded as a sector in crisis. The government extended that statute until the end of this year. The sector has been confronted with various crises in recent years. The Russian war in Ukraine does not make the situation any easier.

Contributions to the Sanitary Fund represent approximately 3 million euros and would mean an exemption of an average of 650 euros per company in the industry.
