Belarus' meat import quota doubled until year end

The country quota for meat supplies from third countries has been doubled for Belarus until the end of 2014 year, head of the foreign trade department at the Agriculture and Food Ministry Alexei Bogdanov told BelTA following the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

The parties agreed to coordinate the increase in Belarus' import quotas for pork from 20,000 tonnes to 40,000 tonnes, poultry from 10,000 tonnes to 20,000 tonnes until the end of the year, Alexei Bogdanov said.
