Belarus forbids the importation of pork from the Russian regions of Northern Ossetia and Krasnodar

The department will impede the importation into Belarus of live pigs, pork and processed products, among others, coming from Northern Ossetia and Krasnodar.

According to what has been published by the Belorussian news service (BelTA), the Veterinary and Food Control Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food informed of the prohibition of the importation of pork from the Russian regions of Northern Ossetia and Krasnodar after the appearance of new cases of African swine fever.

The department will impede the import into Belarus of live pigs, pork, and processed products, among others, coming from Northern Ossetia and Krasnodar.

At the same time, the Department considers necessary to take additional measures in order to guarantee the biological protection of the pig farms.
