Australia - New technology to boost digestible energy

Collaborative research by the GRDC and the Pork CRC is hoping to boost the amount of digestible energy available from grain diets for livestock. According to the two research bodies, the commercialization of Near Infrared Calibrations (NIRS) will allow the nutritive value of livestock grains to be rapidly determined.
