Poland: More ASF outbreaks in pigs and wild boars in 2021

This last year saw the most outbreaks in pigs since 2018.

Poland has seen an increase in ASF outbreaks in pigs year-on-year.

The following number of ASF outbreaks in pigs have been reported in Poland by year:

  • 2021: 124 ASF outbreaks in pigs
  • 2020: 104 ASF outbreaks in pigs
  • 2019: 48 ASF outbreaks in pigs
  • 2018: 213 ASF outbreaks in pigs

In addition, the following number of cases of ASF in wild boar were reported:

  • 2021: 3018 ASF cases
  • 2020: 4156 ASF cases
  • 2019: 2477 ASF cases
  • 2018: 3347 ASF cases
